Evans Chou
This two-movement souvenir is a musical reflection, capturing moments through its duality of expression.
The first movement, Reverie, is a calm, reflective piece in C Major. It features a quiet, thoughtful mood with delicate melodies from the flute and violin over a steady piano accompaniment, an Andante for reflection and a peaceful escape.
The second movement is a Scherzo in F Major, written as a lively and playful contrast to the first. With playful dialogue between the instruments, it offers a bright character filled with rhythmic energy and charming lightness.
Dedicated to Francesca Jamieson.
