With over 15 years of violin training, I have developed as both a performer and creator, building experience that extends from the concert hall to the recording studio.
My musical journey began with the violin in 2011, and since then, I have explored composition, arranging, and production alongside performance.
I have held leadership roles in school and council orchestras, including being section leader in the Wa Ying College String Orchestra from 2020-21, and the leader (concertmaster) of the East Dunbartonshire Council String and Senior Orchestras from 2022-24.
I achieved ABRSM Grade 8 on Violin with Distinction in 2019 at the age of 13. Currently, I am pursuing studies in Digital Media (DMIS) and Music at the University of Glasgow.
Alongside my musical work, I founded Evans Chou Studios in 2015, where I now serve as Chief Vision Officer, leading a multimedia team that produces creative projects across music, video, and photography.
Alongside my work at Evans Chou Studios, I co-founded the University of Glasgow Early Music Society (UGems) in 2026, helping establish a student-run community dedicated to historically informed performance and early repertoire.
This initiative reflects my interest in building collaborative musical spaces within academic communities.
Teaching has been an important part of my musical journey, with experience working with young children in both musical and non-musical settings.
Through individual and group learning environments, I have developed a passion for encouraging creativity, confidence, and personal growth in others.
Beyond my professional and academic work, I remain actively involved in the wider musical community through collaborations with local organisations and participation in ensembles such as St Vincent Baroque Players.
These experiences allow me to connect with musicians from diverse backgrounds and help make music accessible, collaborative, and enjoyable for all.
