"How Great Is Our God" is a song written by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves and Ed Cash. The song won Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year at the 2006 GMA Dove Awards, and Worship Song of the Year again at the 2008 GMA Dove Awards.
"How Great Thou Art" is a Christian hymn based on an original Swedish hymn entitled 'O Store Gud' written in 1885 by Carl Boberg (1859–1940). The English version of the hymn and its title are a loose translation by the English missionary Stuart K. Hine from 1949.
This arrangement merges the two gospels and adds new accompaniment parts to the well-known lyrics, including strings and guitar chords.
