John Williams
Arranged by Evans Chou
John Williams' score for “Schindler's List" won him his fifth Oscar in 1994. This theme from the score features the Boston Symphony Orchestra and renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman as the soloist for the recording.
According to Williams, the theme encapsulates the main thematic elements of the film score, conveying the tragedy, tender, and nostalgic aspects of Jewish life during the turbulent years of the Holocaust.
This is a new arrangement for a mixed ensemble consisting of a flute, oboe, and two violins, and it marks my tenth major work as a music arranger.
